This summer we spent two weeks in France.
The first week was mainly to visit the Olympics Games in Paris. It was a great experience to see Artistic Gymnastics, High Diving, Equestrian Dressage and Boxing.
But Paris has much more to offer like the Catacombs, Château Versailles and a lot of museums (Picasso, the Pinault Collection in the Bourse De Commerce and the Louvre).
Afterwards we spent two days near Tours in the Loire Valley. It is a nice region to enjoy a good wine but mainly to visit a lot of beautiful castles (Château de l’Islette, Château Azay-le-Rideau and Château D’Ussé). The visit of the Les Grottes Savonnieres Petrification was a bit kitschy, but still entertaining.
The rest of the second week we spend in the Medoc region close to Bordeaux. So we enjoyed the wine which is Bordeaux famous for by visiting the wineries Château Carmenère and Château Tronquoy. But we also did some surf lessons and just relaxed on the beach.
